Fun HIIT Mix

I’m always looking for ways to keep things interesting in the gym. Recently I’ve started to incorporate regular HIIT sessions into my routines again. Depending on my mood I tend to vary between ratios of:

2:1 (60 seconds recovery:30 seconds max)
3:2 (45 seconds recovery:30 seconds max)
1:1 (30 seconds recovery:30 seconds max or 1 minute:1 minute)

Today I decided to combine all three ratios into one session and so sequenced my intervals in the order listed above. I tried to maintain my absolute maximum effort on every sprint interval and was incredibly relieved every time a 2:1 interval came round!

It was a fun and challenging mix that I recommend giving a go.
